Dolly Parton has a heartbreaking statement to late icon Kris Kristofferson

Co-stars, fans, and other artists have banded together to pay respect to the late Grammy Award-winning country singer and actor Kris Kristofferson, who di:ed at the age of 88.

Kristofferson, who was well-known for his talents in both music and movies, di:ed quietly at home in Maui on Saturday, surrounded by family.

Barbra Streisand, who costarred with Kristofferson in the Oscar-winning 1976 adaptation of A Star Is Born, sent her profound sympathies on Instagram.She wrote: โ€œWhen I first saw Kris play at the Troubadour club in Los Angeles, I realized he was someone unique. Barefoot and strumming his guitar, he appeared like the ideal candidate for a story I was working on, which finally became A Star Is Born.โ€

Reba McEntire spoke on Kristoffersonโ€™s character, characterizing him as a โ€œgentleman, kind soul, and a lover of words.โ€ Many of those who loved his creativity and humanity shared this viewpoint.

Dolly Parton grieved the d3ath of her โ€œgreat friend,โ€ with whom she recorded hit duets including โ€œFrom Here to the Moon and Backโ€ and โ€œPut It Off Until Tomorrow.
