Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, nominated as head of Donald Trumpโs Justice Department, clashed with Sen. Adam Schiff during her Senate Judiciary confirmation hearing. Schiff pressed Bondi on opposing potential pardons for January 6 offenders and questioned her ability to manage hundreds of cases, prompting Bondi to fire back by referencing Schiffโs congressional censure for โreckless comments.โ
The exchange escalated when Schiff raised a GOP-led investigation into Liz Cheneyโs alleged witness communications. Bondi dismissed it as hypothetical, pivoting to criticize Californiaโs high crime rates as her focus if confirmed.
Bondi has also advocated for releasing Jeffrey Epsteinโs client list, aligning with Trumpโs stated support for more transparency regarding Epsteinโs files.
