The destruction was complete\u2014it\u2019s devastating and emotional. I lived there for 14 or 15 years; it was home. So much was lost\u2014photos, files, personal items collected over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the loss, Gibson expressed gratitude that his family and loved ones were safe. \u201cThese are just things\u2014they can be replaced. What truly matters is that everyone I care about is happy, healthy, and out of harm\u2019s way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The wildfires, which have claimed at least seven lives and left numerous others injured, continue to rage on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
