The focus was on the California wildfires that devastated Los Angeles. He suggested that they may not have been as naturally occurring as previously assumed, insinuating a more sinister source. He suggested that they were deliberately set to clear the area of residents due to the monetary value of the land.\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s just too convenient,\u201d h<\/em>e remarked. The area has been recognized for its housing crisis in the\u00a0past, s according to him, there was a grander scheme at play.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-conspiracies-catch-fire-online\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conspiracies Catch Fire Online<\/h2>\n<p>Mel Gibson doesn\u2019t seem to stand alone on this one either \u2013 there are a host of videos popping up with similar theories. Even Elon Musk weighed in on the matter, adding fuel to the fire by suggesting a connection between the fires and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. While these claims lack any real basis, they have taken root in online communities. The loss o lie and homes has been turned into a waging war breeding speculation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-messing-with-the-water\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cMessing with the Water\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Mel Gibson didn\u2019t stop there. He also suggested that one of California\u2019s broader issues is officials\u00a0<em>\u201cmessing with the water\u201d<\/em>\u00a0by allowing water reserves to flow away for uncertain reasons. \u201cCalifornia has a lot of problems that baffle the mind as to why they do things,\u201d he said. \u201c<em>And then in events like this, you sort of look\u2026 well, is it on purpose?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While Gibson didn\u2019t elaborate much, his comment sparked a debate regarding the real issues with water management in the state, further muddling things and causing an even more shaky argument. This led to even further conspiracies popping up.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-a-moment-of-self-awareness\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Moment of Self-Awareness<\/h2>\n<p>Different from most conspiracy theorists, Mel Gibson did acknowledge the rather far fetched\u00a0nature\u00a0of his claims.\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s an insane thing to think<\/em>,\u201d he admitted,<em>\u00a0\u201cbut one begins to ponder whether or not there is a purpose in mind. What could it be, you know? Do they want the state empty?
