The longtime TV personality\u2014who also hosts the late-night show \u201cGutfeld!\u201d\u2014shared the news in a statement on \u201cThe Five\u201d: \u201cIt is with great joy that my wife Elena and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cMira is healthy with a real set of lungs,\u201d he continued, joking that his baby girl has his wife\u2019s \u201cbeautiful eyes\u201d and his \u201crock-hard abs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gutfeld\u2019s statement put an end to the weekslong speculation over his absence from Fox News, a controversy that his co-host Dana Perino commented on before sharing his message.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is going to be a great surprise for a lot of you,\u201d she said. \u201cYou might have noticed that our friend Greg Gutfeld hasn\u2019t been here for a couple of weeks, and it\u2019s for a good reason. This is a statement that he sent me today. So I\u2019m reading this as if I\u2019m Greg.\u201d<\/p>\n
While Gutfeld kept the news of his wife\u2019s pregnancy hidden from the public, it appears he may well have been preparing to expand his family for several months now\u2014even investing in a plush (and very pricey) new home in Manhattan, NY, in July.<\/p>\n
